Gutter Cleaning in Wilton Manors & Surrounding Broward Neighborhoods
The problem we see
Wilton Manors has a beloved mix of historic bungalows, mid-century gems and the lively Wilton Drive commercial strip. Each one needs different chemistry and pressure — we know the difference, and we treat the city's housing stock with the care it deserves.
How we approach it
Clogged gutters in Florida aren't just an aesthetic thing. When the next afternoon storm dumps two inches in twenty minutes, blocked gutters back up over your fascia, soak your soffits, run down behind your siding, and start finding their way into the house. We've seen the inside of plenty of houses where the original problem was a clogged gutter that no one looked at for two years.
What to expect on the day
Our crew hand-cleans every gutter — no leaf-blower-and-pray jobs, no shortcuts. We bag the debris (we don't just dump it on your lawn), we flush every downspout to confirm water is actually flowing all the way through, and we tell you if we find any spots where the gutter is pulling away from the fascia, where seams are leaking, or where the slope has settled and water is pooling instead of draining.
What sets us apart
If you want, we can also brighten the outside of the gutter — those black tiger stripes are an organic stain that responds to a brightening treatment we apply during the same visit. We can also clear leaves and debris out of valleys on your roof at the same time, which is a common add-on that prevents the next round of buildup from rolling right back into your gutters.
Getting a quote
Most single-story homes are a one-hour job. Two-story and larger custom homes run two to four hours. We use proper ladders with stand-offs that don't lean on your gutters, and we wear soft-soled shoes when we have to step on the roof.
The bottom line
Annual at minimum, twice a year is better, and twice a year is what we recommend for most of Broward — once before hurricane season in May, once after in November. The before-season clean keeps the system flowing through the worst storms. The after-season clean removes the months of debris that always come down in the wind and rain.

How it works
Setup
Ladders staged with stand-offs that don't crush your gutters. Drop cloths under downspouts. We knock out front first if your home is in a visible cul-de-sac so we're not blocking the view longer than needed.
Clear
Hand-clean every section of gutter. Debris goes into bags, not onto your lawn or shrubs. We work top to bottom and back to front so we never push debris into already-clean sections.
Flush
Hose every downspout to confirm full flow through the entire system. If a downspout is partially clogged we clear it on the spot. If it's completely blocked at an underground extension, we let you know and recommend next steps.
Report
Photos and notes on anything we found — pulled brackets, separated seams, fascia damage. You don't have to do anything with the report; it's just so you know what's going on up there.
Why this matters in South Florida
South Florida's climate is brutal on exteriors
Pompano Beach and most of Broward gets the bulk of its annual rainfall in heavy bursts during summer afternoons and named storms. A typical 30-minute Florida thunderstorm can put hundreds of gallons through a single downspout in just a few minutes. If anything is blocked, that water finds another way — usually the way that does the most expensive damage.
Why proper technique matters here
The trees we have here — gumbo limbo, mahogany, royal poinciana, ficus, live oak, sea grape — all drop something year-round. There's no real 'leaf season' the way there is up north. Even homes in newer subdivisions with no large overhanging trees collect debris from neighborhood wind, palm fronds, and the year-round shed of nearby landscaping.
Coastal vs. inland realities
Hurricane season is the biggest single reason to keep gutters clear. A clogged gutter system before a tropical storm or hurricane is a flooding event waiting to happen. Water that should be channeled to the ground via your downspouts instead pools against your roofline, runs behind your soffits, and saturates your fascia and exterior walls. We always see a spike in emergency repair calls in the weeks after major storms — and almost all of them trace back to gutters that should have been cleaned earlier in the year.
HOA, insurance, and resale pressure
The other thing nobody talks about: clogged gutters are mosquito factories. Standing water in a backed-up gutter is the perfect breeding habitat for mosquitoes, and South Florida already has plenty without adding more. A clean gutter system drains completely after every rain and gives mosquitoes nowhere to lay eggs.
Seasonal timing that pays off
Salt and humidity also accelerate gutter corrosion in coastal areas. Cleaning your gutters annually and inspecting for early signs of damage gets you years more life out of the system before replacement.
More about this service
A lot of Wilton Manors homes are 1950s-era painted block and original stucco. Modern high-pressure equipment can chew through that finish in seconds. Soft washing at proper dilutions is the only correct way to clean here.
